All about our Designer, Handpainted Pots
Welcome!!! If you are a new visitor to this site, I'd like to say a big THANK YOU for the support! I started my first collection of hand painted planter pots a little over five and a half years ago. At the time, I saw a need for designer pots to compliment (and be in line with) the aesthetic of modern homes. It was time for me to create a collection and experiment with different patterns, colours and paints!

It takes a lot of time to develop a brand new business. From designing my branding/logos, to creating the website (and taking all the pictures of the products), I can say that I definitely had my hands full! In the midst of building Common House Studio, I was still working my full time job (as a fashion product developer), travelling for work and trying to be the best parent I could be to my three year old son.
I finally released my first collection of planters in August 2018 and I was blown away by the response I received. I'll admit that it took some time til I found my groove in the e-commerce world, but the amount of retail shops and Interior Designers I worked with within my first six months of launching my business was incredible! By April 2019, I was so busy with this little side hustle of mine that I couldn't keep up! It was time to quit my day job and focus on painting full time.
Each one of our Common House pots is a labour of love. I paint them all by hand, with each pot taking about 2-3 hours to complete (from start to finish). All of our planters are finished with the highest quality materials and the planters themselves are composed of fibreglass (making them extremely durable and lightweight).
Upon request, I can even use custom colours on a pot. I've done so countless times when working with Interior Designers, Plant Installation shops and Biophilic Design teams. I've been able to outfit head offices, restaurants, lounges, retail shops, salons and more, by complimenting their vision for the intended space and supporting their overall vision from conceptualization to execution!
